Diet That Can Transform Your Body - Ketogenic Diet

Ketosis is a popular weight loss strategy. It is a low-carb eating plan that may contain high proteins and/or may contain high fats. In addition to helping you burn fat, ketosis can make you feel less hungry. It also helps you maintain muscle mass because the body burns fat instead of muscle mass.

Ketogenic diet is all the rage now. Most keto diets keep carbs down to under 50 grams per day, although stricter and looser versions exist. They also place fats at 75% of the calorie intake on the diet and proteins at 20%.

Although some people have started out well on the keto diet, at Dr. Seagrist Diet Clinic we believe that the calorie count for high-fat diets is unhealthy for sustainable weight loss.

Consider this:
1 gram of fat has 10 calories.
1 gram of sugar has 5 calories.
1 gram of carbohydrate has 5 calories.
(According to The World Health Organization)

Calories are still important considerations when talking about weight loss! So, you either have to consume a smaller portion of high-fat food or less fat in foods for more quantity! At Dr. Seagrist Diet Clinic, we follow a low-fat Ketogenic diet that allows 4-5 servings of protein a day with unlimited low carb veggies! Don’t be fooled by keto diets with large portions of foods that contain lots of fats! If it sounds too good to be true…IT IS!
